On the oc­ca­sion of the 250^th an­niversary of Moz­art's birth in 2006 which also marked Anne-Soph­ie Mut­ter's 30^th an­niversary of her pub­lic de­but, the bril­liant vi­ol­in­ist con­tin­ues in her quest to re­cord all of Moz­art's ma­jor works for the vi­ol­in. The second re­lease of the Moz­art pro­ject is a fine se­lec­tion of Moz­art's pi­ano tri­os, which Anne-Soph­ie Mut­ter plays to­geth­er with Sir An­dré Prev­in and the ex­cep­tion­ally tal­en­ted young cello play­er, Daniel Müller-Schott.

The pieces which Anne-Soph­ie Mut­ter chose to re­cord are - un­ashamedly - the ones which give the vi­ol­in most to say: These works, she says, show Moz­art writ­ing for pure en­joy­ment and for his own pleas­ure since he played them quite of­ten. Il Teatro Ac­ca­demico del Bibi­ena in Man­tua, Italy is the set­ting for this in­tim­ate mu­sic­al ex­per­i­ence - a theatre that came to life by Moz­art's mu­sic: On Janu­ary 16, 1770 young Moz­art – dur­ing his first jour­ney to Italy - gave a con­cert to­geth­er with his fath­er Leo­pold to cel­eb­rate the open­ing night of the theatre.
